Question :-

What should be added to twice the rational numbers -7/3 to get 3/7? solve it by balance method.

Solution :-

let the number be x

→ -7/3 * 2 * x = 3/7

→ -14/3x = 3/7

→ x = 14/3 + 3/7 ( taking l.c.m )

→ x = ( 98 + 9 ) / 21

→ x = 107/21

Hence :-

  • the number will be = 107/21
