 2{x}^{2}  + 3xy - ( {x}^{2}  + xy +  {y}^{2} )

 = 2 {x}^{2}  + 3xy -  {x}^{2}  - xy -  {y}^{2}

 =  {x }^{2}  + 2xy -  {y}^{2}

{x }^{2}  + 2xy -  {y}^{2}  \:  \: should \: be \: added
