hey dear

here is your answer

Solution

Let the number added be x

7/12 + x = 1 /24

x = 1/24 - 7/12

x = ( take lcm of 12 , 24 is 24)

x = 1/24 - 7*2 /12 *2

x = 1/24 - 14 /24

x = -13/24

hence answer is -13 /24

hope it helps

thank you

Heya !!

Here's your answer...⬇⬇

Solution :- Let the number be ( x ).

Given that ..,

x +  \frac{7}{12}  =  \frac{1}{24}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{1}{24}  -  \frac{7}{12}  \\  \\by \:  \: taking \:  \: lcm \:  \: of \:  \: 24 \:  \: and \:  \: 12 \\  \\  x =  \frac{1}{24}  \times  \frac{1}{1}   -   \frac{7}{12}  \times  \frac{2}{2}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{1}{24}  -  \frac{14}{24}  \\  \\  x =  \frac{1 - 14}{24}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 13}{24}  \\  \\ hence \:  \: adding \:  \:  \frac{ - 13}{24}  \:  \: in \:  \:  \frac{7}{12}  \:  \: we \:  \: get \:  \:  \frac{1}{24}  \\  \\ =  x +  \frac{7}{12}  \\  \\  =  \frac{ - 13}{24}  +  \frac{7}{12}  \\  \\  =  \frac{ - 13}{24}  \times  \frac{1}{1} +  \frac{7}{12}   \times  \frac{2}{2} \\  \\  =  \frac{ - 13}{24}   +  \frac{14}{24}  \\  \\  =  \frac{ - 13 + 14}{24}  \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{24} \\  \\
Hence, L.H.S = R.H.S ---( Verified )

-13/24 Should be added to 7/12 to get 1/24.

HOPE IT HELPS..
