➤ Answer :-

 \longrightarrow \tt \dfrac{( - 7)}{4}  + ( \sf x)  \:  \tt =  \dfrac{3}{7}

To find the value of the 'x' in the following sum, we should subtract \tt\dfrac{3}{7} and \tt\dfrac{(-7)}{4}

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3}{7}  -  \dfrac{( - 7)}{4}

Convert them into like fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators i.e, 7 and 4.

LCM of 7 and 4 is 28.

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3 \times 4}{7 \times 4} -  \dfrac{( - 7) \times 7}{4 \times 7}

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{12}{28}  -  \dfrac{( - 49)}{28}  =  \dfrac{12 - ( - 49)}{28}

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{12 + 49}{28}  =  \dfrac{61}{28}

 \tt \longrightarrow  \dfrac{61}{28}  = 2 \dfrac{5}{28}

\Huge\thereforeThe other number is \tt 2 \dfrac{5}{28}

Remember.......

  • While finding the value of 'x' in addition, we should subtract the answer and the other number.
  • While finding the value of 'x' in subtraction, we should add the answer and the other number.
  • While finding the value of 'x' in multiplication, we should divide answer and the other number.
  • While finding the value of 'x' in division, if the first value is 'x' we should multiply answer and other number. If the second value is 'x' we should divide answer and first number.
