We should conserve minerals because
1. They are finite and non renewable.
2. Most of the minerals are distributed unevenly on the earth surface.
3. The geological process of formation of mineral are so slow that the rate of replenishment are infinitely small in the comparison of their consumption in present.
STEPS ON CONSERVE THEM:
1. Use of mineral resources in a planned or sustainable manner.
2. Recycling of mineral.
3. Use of scrap metal.
4. Use of alternative substitutes.

Minerals are non-renewable resources. It is necessary to reduce wastage in the process of mining recycling of metals is an another way in which the mineral resources can be conserved
We can conserve minerals by the following ways:-
1. Recycling - it means using discarded materials once again many metals like Iron gold copper aluminium become these reusable through recycling.
2. Avoid wastage - minerals can be conserved by using efficient methods of extraction and processing by and by avoiding wastage. Saving can be done at consumption level also.
3. Substitutes - in recent years biodegradable plastic and other substitute have been used to conserve mineral resources.
