= Price + VAT

= X + 10% of X

= X + 10%XX

=X+(10/100)XX

= x +(1/10)XX

=X+(1xX/10)

=X+(X/10)

= (10X+X)/10

= Rs. 11X/10

According to the given problem

The Cost of the pair of shoes including VAT

= Rs. 300

Therefore, 11X/10 = 300

=> 11X = 300×10

=> 11X = 3000

=> X = 3000/11

=> X = 272.72...

Therefore, X = Rs. 272.72
