Let the first number be x

Other number = 5/9

Difference of two number = 9/5

According to question,

∴ 5/9 – x = 9/5

x = 5/9 – 9/5

x = (5 × 5)/(9 × 5) – (9 × 9)/(5 × 9) (∵ L.C.M. of 9 and 5 = 45)

x = 25/45 – 81/45

x = (25 – 81)/45

= -(56/45)
