Let x be subtracted ...

 \frac{ - 18}{5} - x =  \frac{ - 5}{6} \\  \\  - x =  \frac{ - 5}{6} +  \frac{18}{5} \\  \\  - x =  \frac{ - 25 + 108}{30} \\  \\  - x =  \frac{83}{30} \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 83}{30}

Answer:

(-18/5) - x = -5/6

-18/5 + 5/6 = x

(-108+25)/30 = x

-83/30 = x

Therefore, -83/30 should be subtracted from -18/5 to get -5/6.
