what should be subtracted from -2 / 3 to get -5/6

Let us take the required number to be subtracted be x .

Then ,

ATQ, -2/3 - x = -5/6.

=> -x = -5/6 + 2/3.

=> -x = 4-5/6.

=>-x = -1/6

Therefore x = 1/6 .

So, 1/6 should be subtracted.
