Hey Mate!!!

This is the answer

let that number be 'y'

So, According to the question

=> (-2)/5 - y = 11/35

=> {(-2) - 5y} /5 = 11/35

=> (-2) - 5y = (11/35) × 5

=> (-2) - 5y = 11/7

=> 7{(-2) - 5y} = 11

=> (-14) - 35y = 11

=> (-35y) = 11+14

=> y = 25/(-35)

=> y = (-5)/7

Therefore, minus 5 by 7 should be subtracted from minus 2 by 5 to get 11 by 35.

Hope it helps...

x -  \frac{2}{5}  =  \frac{11}{35}  \\ x =  \frac{11}{35}  +  \frac{2}{5}  \\ x =  \frac{11  + 14}{35} \\ x =  \frac{25}{35}  \\

Therefore = 5/7 shall be subtracted
