we subtract 1/4 from 3/4-2/3
to get -1/6
3/4-2/6 we get 1/12
let the no. that subtract is n then 1/12-n =-1/6
then when we solve we get 6-36n=-12
-72n = -12-6
then n = 18/72
1/4
hope this is correct

haridas2: plz,send me answer
rishu150: answer is 1/4
haridas2: wrong answer

Given:

Subtract x from (\frac {3}{4} - \frac {2}{3} ) to get \frac {-1}{6}

To find:

The value of x

Answer:

Assume subtracting number is x

\frac {3}{4} - \frac {2}{3} - x= \frac {-1}{6}

\frac {9-8}{12} - x= \frac {-1}{6}

\frac {1}{12} - x= \frac {-1}{6}

x = \frac {1}{6} + \frac {1}{12}

x= \frac {3}{12}

x= \frac {1}{4}

To get \frac {-1}{6} we need to subtract the value of x i.e., \frac {1}{4} from{ \frac {3}{4} - \frac {2}{3}}
