what should be subtracted from -3/4 so as to get 5/6

Let x should be subtracted,


- 3/4 - x = 5/6

-3/4 - 5/6 = x

(-18 -20)/24 = x

-38/24 = x

-19/12 = x




Hence, -19/12 should be subtracted
