Let the uq be x.

3-x=7/4

3-7/4=x

12/4-7/4=x

5/4=x

5/4 should be divided by 3 to get 7/4.

hi there mate.!!

solution:

let the number to be subtracted be x.

now,

3-x= 7/4

-x= 7/4-3

-x=7-12/4

-x= -5/4

x= 5/4

hence,

5/4 should be subtracted from 3 to get 7/4

hope this helps!!
