Let x be the number that must be subtracted from -4/5 to get 1.

 \frac{ - 4}{5}  - x = 1 \\  - x = 1 - ( \frac{ - 4}{5} ) \\  - x = 1 +  \frac{4}{5}  \\  - x =  \frac{9}{5}  \\ x  = \frac{9}{5}
Hope it helps uhh❤❤❤
