what should be subtracted from -5/3 to get 5/6

-5/3-x=5/6
⇒x=(-5/3)-(5/6)
     =(-10-5)/6
     =-15/6
     =-5/2

∴ -5/2 must be subtracted from -5/3 to get 5/6
