what should be subtracted from -5/6 to get3/4

Let the required number to be subtracted be x. Then,

according to question ,

- 5/6 - x = 3/4

=> - x = 3/4 + 5/6

=> - x = 9 + 10/12

=> - x = 19/12

=> x = - 19/12

Hence , -19/12 should be subtracted from -5/6 to get 3/4.

-5/6 -x =3/4
-x=3/4 + 5/6
-x=9+10/12
-x=19/12
x=-19/12
therefore -19/12 should be subtracted from -5/6 to get 3/4..
