Let the no to be subtracted be x
7/-8 -x =-13/2
-7/8-x=-13/2
-7-8x/8=-13/2
2(-7-8x)=-13×8
-14-16x= -104
-16x=-104+14
-16x=-90
X=-90/-16
X= 45/8 ans

The correct answer is "x = 5/24".

Step-by-step explanation:

Let \ the \ number \ be \ "x".\\\\According \ to \ the \ question,\\\\-\frac{7}{8} -x=-\frac{13}{12}\\ \\On \ adding \ "\frac{7}{8}" \ both \ sides,we \ get\\\\-\frac{7}{8} -x+\frac{7}{8} =-\frac{13}{12} +\frac{7}{8} \\\\-x=-\frac{13}{12} +\frac{7}{8} \\\\On \ taking \ LCM,we \ get\\\\-x=\frac{-104+84}{96}\\\\ -x=-\frac{20}{96}\\\\ -x=-\frac{5}{24}\\\\x=\frac{5}{24}
