X = -1/2

hope it helps you

THIS IS THE CORRECT ANSWER :

let the number to be subtracted be X

(¾ -⅔ ) -X=-⅙

LCM OF 4 and 3 IS 12

SO......

(9/12-8/12) - X = -1/6

1/12 - X = - 1/6

-X= -1/6 - 1/12

LCM OF 6 and 12 is 12

so..... -1/12 -1/12

-X= -1/12 - 1/12

-X = 1/12

Moving the minus symbol to right side and making x as positive becomes :-

X = -1/12

THEREFORE THE NUMBER THAT IS TO BE SUBTRACTED FROM (¾ -⅔ ) to get -⅙ is -1/12

IF U WANT TO CHECK THE ANSWER JUST SUBSTITUTE X =-1/12 in the equation:-

1/12 - X = -1/6
