(15)^2-16(15)+30-y=0

225-240+30=y

225-210=y

15=y or y=15 where y is the number to be subtracted from the polynomial.

Answer:

{\huge {{\tt {\color{navy}{15}}}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

{\ { {\tt {\color{black}{ {15 }^{2} - 16 \times 15 + 30 }}}}}

{{ {\tt {\color{black}{225 - 240 + 30}}}}}

{{ {\tt {\color{black}{225 - 210}}}}}

{\huge { {\tt {\color{black}{15}}}}}
