Try to make equations in these type of questions
So
(2-a+3a^2)-x=(1+a+2a^2)
x=(2-a+3a^2)-(1+a+2a^2)
x=2-a+3a^2-1-a-2a^2
x=(1-2a+a^2)
x=(a-1)^2
I hope this helps
