Answer:

28 Days

Let work efficiency of one man and woman be x and y respectively .

Now

4x + 9y =  \frac{1}{12}  \\  \\ 3x + 10y =  \frac{1}{14}

Now we need work efficiency of a woman , so we need to eliminate x .

For that multiply first equation by 3 and second by 4 and subtract

40y - 27y=  \frac{4}{14}  -  \frac{3}{12}  \\  \\ 13y =  \frac{24 - 21}{84}  =  \frac{3}{84}  =  \frac{1}{28}  \\  \\ y =  \frac{1}{28 \times 13}

Work capacity of 13 woman

13y =  \frac{1}{28 \times 13}  \times 13 =  \frac{1}{28}

So days in work complete = 1/ work efficiency

 =  \frac{1}{( \frac{1}{28}) }  = 28 \: days
