Answer is (3)....
If we consider the whole train as a system,
F = ma
3.5 * 10^4 = { 8 + (2*5) } * a
So, a is (3.5 * 10^4) / 18
Now, Wagon 1 is not just pulling Wagon 2 but all other Wagons also.
So, m = 8
And, a remains same.
So, F' = 8 * (3.5 * 10^4)/18
Which is 1.4 * 10^4 N (approx)
