What should be the direction of velocity of an electron so that it should be deviated vertically upwards on earth

In case of a positively charged particle, the direction of force will be towards north by Fleming’s left hand rule.

But in case of electrons, the direction of force will be opposite to that in case of a positively charged particle.

Therefore, the answer which you need is south
