I think I may help you out cuz, I too, have been a member of school's Student council.
As far as the school is concerned, the main motto of council member should be to maintain discipline, and spread the importance of being disciplined.
Being a responsible student, and a council member, he/she also train his/her juniors for extra curriculars and motivate them to participate in such events. He/she shall be a role model for the juniors and inspire them to be like him/her.
