Answer:

Cost of doll= Rs 750

Sales tax charged 5%

Sale tax= 5% of 750

 =  \frac{5}{100}  \times 750 \\  \\  =  \frac{75}{2}  \\  \\  \boxed{ = 37.5}

So sale tax is Rs 37.5

Bill amount = 37.5+750

= Rs 787.5

\large\underline{\sf{Solution-}}

Given that,

  • Cost of doll is Rs 750

  • Rate of sales tax = 5 %

So, Sale tax charge on doll whose cost is Rs 750 is

\rm \: Sales\:tax = 5\% \: of \: 750 \\

\rm \:  =  \: \dfrac{5}{100}  \times 750 \\

\rm \:  =  \: \dfrac{1}{20}  \times 750 \\

\rm \:  =  \: \dfrac{75}{2} \\

\rm \:  =  \: 37.5 \\

Hence,

\rm\implies \:\boxed{ \rm{ \:Sales\:tax \:  =  \: Rs \: 37.50 \: }} \\

Now, Total bill amount is given by

\rm \: Total\:bill\:amount = Cost \: of \: doll + Sales\:tax \\

\rm \:  =  \: 750 + 37.5 \\

\rm \:  =  \: 787.5 \\

Hence,

\rm\implies \:\boxed{ \rm{ \:Total\:bill\:amount \:  =  \: Rs \: 787.50 \: }} \\
