what should be the temp. rise of a bras rod (α=2* 10 to the power -5)so as to increase its lenghth by 1%.plzz..... ans as fast as u can

thermal expansion
   ΔL = α * L * ΔT
         ΔL / L = 1/100  

  so ΔT =  1/(100 * 2 * 10⁻⁵)
           = 500° K
