7 {y}^{2}  - 5y - 2b = 2

7 {( - 1)}^{2}  - 5( - 1) - 2b = 2

7(1)  + 5 - 2b =  2

7  + 5 - 2 = 2b

10 = 2b

b =  \frac{2}{10}

b =  \frac{1}{10}
