what should be the value of y so that the algebraic expressions 3 (y-5) and 2y +7 have the same numerical value?

hey mate here is your answer,
3(y-5)=2y+7

3y-15=2y+7
y=15+7
this implies that
y=22

so further you could check your value whether it is true or false for its confirmation put this value in above expressions.
as it is,
3(22-5)=51
and 2(22)+7=51.

it means your ans. is right because you expressions showing the same numerical value .
so the value of y would be 22.
