what should curd and other sour foodstuffs (like lemon juice,etc.) not be kept in metal containers (such as copper and brass vessels)?

simple and straight answer will be that....sour substance have citric acid present in them which react with copper and made the food poisonous

because lactic acid in the curd and other substances react with copper and brass to give harmful substances like hydrogen and others
