what should i study from my english mcb and workbook for my boards i my grammer is pretty good. should i get into the detail?

I don't think u should read that . but go for sample questions paper and solve the grammer and other types of questions that is more effective and time saving

I am also going to give exams on 12. I suggest you not to get tangled in these books. Instead practice reorerding of words, editing, ommision,active passive voice and reported speech from sample papers or previous years question papers.
