To pass in history and civics:
History is all about the past and the important incidents of the world time. And also history is about some legendary people who worked or sacrificed their life to their country.
Civics it's all the about democracy/monarchy (the type of government) , constitution etc.... This also includes the past and important incidents to improve the constitution and also about the legendary politicians.
Now,
Both history and civics similar the same.
All you have to do is you should understand the incidents in a form of a story. Just have to know all the important dates of the incident. Coming back to civics you should know the chapter thoroughly and understand the concept.
By doing this, you are capable to write the answer. And you can even pass. Or sometimes centum :P
