what should not be left open and stagnant in a place becausemicroorganisms can grow in it. if it is not possible to remove water from that place oil can be pourded over it can you think of a reason for this

Microorganisms can not grow on oil because oil does not have any nutrients for it to survive . However microorganisms can grow on oil if we add additinal nutrients into it.
