We just have to multiply atmoic mass with no. of atoms
eg molar mass of h2o will be 1*2+1*16=18u

pmtibrahim: oh
pmtibrahim: but
SachiAroraV: : ) : )
pmtibrahim: wait
pmtibrahim: I will send a doubt
pmtibrahim: how is heliums molar mass is 4?
SachiAroraV: becoz atomic mass of he is 4 and no. of atoms of helium is 1 so, 4*1 = 4
pmtibrahim: oh
pmtibrahim: I see

Hey!

Molar mass is defined as mass of a given substance divided by amount of substance.

Molar mass = Atomic mass of substance × number of atoms.

For example- Find molar mass of oxygen?

Molar mass = Atomic mass of oxygen × Number of atoms

M= 16×2
M= 32 g

As, number of atoms in oxygen is 2 (O2) and mass of 1 oxygen atom is 16.
