Similarities and differences do you find in ruling the country at the time of the "janapadas and mahajanapadas" and at present:
Similarities:
Janapadas by the word means people who set their foot first and settled down as a group or colonies. While Mahajanapadas can be said as a modified version of Janapadas, that is, Mahajanapadas have evolved from Janapadas.
Differences:
Janapadas constituted of smaller groups while Mahajanapads had larger provinces containing bigger Kingdoms. The structures of both of their buildings were different. Janapadas lived in huts and their living was dependent on cattle. While Mahajanapadas formed a capital city and their buildings were built with brick stones or wood.
