Answer:There is one big difference with the ancient civilization compared to us now, there are close to 2000 sites which have the Indus Valley civilization spread across Pakistan and India, but there is not much of religious idols nor any strong religious symbols which we can expect by probing 2000 archaeological sites.

We cannot find much religious differences from ancient civilizations, they would all appear very similar, even now non Hindu religions like Buddhism, Jainism and countless sects which has been integrated with Hinduism has very high similarities, they all appear uniform with far too high common customs and rituals, with common gods and demigods, often with same names.

The differences in ancient societies in India is not religion it will be tradition, culture, religious rituals, social customs of funeral, birth and marriage irrespective of whether they were Hindus or Not.
