In first discount of 25% the price will become 75%
75x/100. (x is cp)
In the next discount of 10% the price will become 90%
75x/100 × 90/100
27x/40
The sp will be 27/40 of the cp. It means the discount will be 1-(27/40) = 13/40
in percentage the discount will be
13/40 × 2.5/2.5
32.5/100
The single discount should be of 32.5%
75x/100. (x is cp)
In the next discount of 10% the price will become 90%
75x/100 × 90/100
27x/40
The sp will be 27/40 of the cp. It means the discount will be 1-(27/40) = 13/40
in percentage the discount will be
13/40 × 2.5/2.5
32.5/100
The single discount should be of 32.5%
