Untouchability- when he was establishing his “AASHRAM” he made it clear that if any “harijan” came to him he would give shelter. He opposed caste based voting.
Cleanliness- He give great importance towards cleanliness. Not only in India but in South Africa also. During the plauge he helped all patients and encouraged all to be clean and to make surroundings clean.
Upliftment of National language- He always emphasis Hindi and not to use English as formal language.
Unemployment- The use of charkha to make thread and then cloth. Wearing the khadi is not just for symbolism. He really serious about it. To give employment to women and men. To enhance “swadeshi” movement in the region.
