1. Caste system in India has undergone a lot of changes mainly due to many socio economic changes like occupational mobility, weakening position of landlords, increasing education and literacy levels ,etc.

2. Another major issue that has undergone a huge change is the income levels of people of different classes have increased . Though it still has a long way to go with millions still under the poverty line.

3. Due to the efforts of reformers India today is a secular country where everyone has the freedom to profess and practice his or her religion of his/ her choice or to follow no religion at all.
