Resolving power is the ability to make images sharp enough to distinguish two objects side by side. Mathematically, Resolving power = d /1.22 λ where d is the diameter of the mirror and λ is the wavelength of the mirror.

Higher the diameter, better resolving power can be achieved

When the wavelength is small, resolving power will be more as the resolving power is inversely proportional to the wavelength
