The pollution caused by burning of fossil fuels can be minimised :

  • by using electrostatic precipitators in the chimneys of industries. It does not allow the smoke containing unburnt carbon particle and fly ash particle to go into the atmosphere.

  • by fitting the catalytic converter into vehicles which converted harmful gases into harmless gases before escaping into the air.

  • by increasing the efficiency of combustion process. This can be increased by using advanced technology.

  • by using alternate source of energy.
