steps that could be taken to solve the problem of drought are-

■afforestation to increase the level of water table

■reducing the use of execces water

■saving water by different methods like rainwater harvesting.

"Drought is generally defined as a period of lower than average precipitation in a given region, which leads to prolonged water supply shortages. Drought can last months or years and can have a significant effect on the environment, the it will be effects to all living organisms which present in surrounding areas.

Drought can cause to insufficient quantity of drinking water, household consumption, fire suppression and agriculture.

Water sources like  reservoirs, groundwater, lakes, rivers and streams, can have a significant impact and can lead to water loss it will effects to the crop damage  due to insufficient ground water levels.

During a drought, taking steps to low consumption of water inside and outside your home. And install the irrigation techniques it's increases the ground water levels.

Consumers of municipal water supplies and private well owners should make efforts to conserve water.
