Jo was not happy with the ending of the story her dad had told her; now she wanted her dad to narrate her a story in which the wizard would hit the mom.  

However, Jack, her father comforted her saying the ending that Jo wanted would change the original story. When Jo insisted that she wanted a different ending, her father said he would consider her request the next day.

Jo wanted her father to tell the same story but change the ending-wizard would hit the mommy and give back the rose smell to Roger -could not bear the thought of Roger with his foul smell and without any friends -father angry with Jo for interfering in his story- refused to change the endingwants her to learn to respect parents and their decisions .
