In amoeba, the digestion of food is an intercellular process, in which amoeba cell takes in food a particles in a form of food vacuoles. This vacuole, later on fuse with lysosomes which releases two enzymes; amylase and protinase that breaks down fats, carbohydrates and cellulose into simpler substances
