The tropical forests are found in Andhra pradesh. Partially, these forests are also found around the river Kaberi, Krishna, Godavari, Tapti, Narmada, Chambal. These forests are found up to 1,800 meters on the Nilgiri hills in the south, 1,000 meters on the Satpura hills and 1,500 meters on the eastern slope. The main species in these forests are Larale, Kher, Sal, Bamboo, Magnelia Chastnett trees are found in abundance.Identification of suitable land for power projects, forest planting of NTPC and other members through the Ministry of Enviroment and Forests (MoEF), which will be coordinated with State Forest Departments / District Development Authorities, etc.
To facilitate the early procurement process of forest clearance of the proposed forest land for the purpose of acquiring land by NTPC and other members for setting up future projects.
