Sum = x

Rate = 10%

Time = 5

SI: 150

SI = (P*R*T)/100

or, 150 = (x .  10 . 5)/100

or, 150 = 1/2. x

or, 150*2 = x

or, x = Rs. 300

A sum  of 300 lent out at 10% per annum simple interest would produce ₹ 150 as interest in 5 years

Step-by-step explanation:

the formula for Simple interest is \frac{P\times N\times R}{100}

here P = ?

N= 5 yrs

R=10%

Simple interest =150

so 150= \frac{P\times5\times10}{100}

so P = \frac{150\times100}{5\times10} . so the answer is 300
