Answer:

Simple interest= 140

principal = 1120

Step-by-step explanation:

case 1

p = 2100

r = 5%

t = 4/3 yrs

SI = prt / 100

2100×5×4 / 100 × 3

SI = 140 rs

case 2

p = ?

r = 25/4 %

SI = 140 rs

SI = prt / 100

140= p×25×2 / 100 ×4

140 = p / 8

140×8=p

p = 1120

Answer:

Let the principal be x

So ,

S.I. = x × 25/4 × 2 / 100

= 12.5x /100

2 case

S.I. = 2100× 3×16/12 /100

= 8400/100

= 84 rupees

12.5x /100 = 84

12.5x = 84×100

12.5x = 8400

x= 8400/12.5

x= 672 rupees ANSWER
