Simple interest = (P*R*T)/100
P or principal = 800
R or Rate= 10% per anjum
T or Time= 6 years

So , simple interest in this case is

(800*10*6)/100 = 48000/100 = 480 rupees

Now let us take the question
question = how money should be invested for 5 years at 4% to get the same amount of interest as rupees 800 will earn in 6 years at 10 %

Let the money or principal be x
Now the equation so formed is

(x*5*4)/100 = 480 rupees
(x*20)/100=480 rupees .... using transposition method
x= (480*100)/20
x=48000/20
hence x= 2400 rupees
So the answer of question is ₹2400
