let the principal be X

atq X + (x×3×12)/100 = 1292
=X+9x/25= 1292
= 34x/25=1292
X= 1292×25/34
x= 38×25
= Rs950

Answer:

Let us assume the required sum as ₹100

Principal = ₹100

Rate = 12%p.a

Time = 3years

SI = \frac{P×R×T}{100}

SI = \frac{100×12×3}{100} = ₹36

Amount of ₹100 = ₹(100+36) = 136

If amount is ₹136 then the sum = ₹100

If amount is ₹1 then the sum

= \frac{100}{136}

If the amount is ₹1292, then sum

= ₹ \frac{100}{136} × 1292

= ₹950

Hence, the required sum is ₹950
