Let the principal be x Rs.

Amount= 6600Rs.

Rate of interest= 8%.

Time= 4years.

S.I=Amount - principal.

(P*R*T)/100= 6600-x.

(x*8*4)/100=6600-x.

32x=(6600-x)100.

32x= 660000- 100x.

100x+32x=660000.

132x=660000.

x=660000/132.

x= 5000Rs.

So Principal= 5000Rs.
