Let
P=100

R=10%
Time=2yr

Amount =6600

Si=pxrxt /100

=100x10x2/00=20

Amount = principal + interest

=100+20=120

According to the question it is 6600

1 unit assumed =6600/120

=55

Then sum or principal =100x55=5500

This is ur ans hope it will help you in case of any doubt comment below

Given,

Simple interest = Rs. 6600

Rate (R) = 10% per annum

Time (T) = 2 years

To find,

The principal amount (P).

Solution,

The principal amount (P) will be Rs. 33000.

We can easily solve this problem by following the given steps.

According to the question,

Simple interest = Rs. 6600

Rate (R) = 10% per annum

Time (T) = 2 years

We know that the formula to find the simple interest is given as follows:

Simple Interest (SI) = Principal(P)×Rate(R)×Time(T)/100

6600 = P×10×2/100

Using the cross multiplication method,

(6600×100) = P×20

P×20 = (6600×100)

P = (6600×100)/20 [20 was in the multiplication on the left-hand side. So, it is in the division on the right-hand side.]

P = Rs. 33000

Hence, the principal amount is Rs. 33000.
